English version of a real Webomat project

Welmasz (welmasz.pl) designs and builds machines and production automation systems. The agent rebuilt its website; this is the new site translated into English. See the website live →

What to look for

What a good manufacturer website needs

A manufacturer’s website is usually read by a buyer, a process engineer or a design engineer comparing several suppliers. They want an answer to one question: can this plant make my part, in my volume, by my deadline?

Sample website of Welmasz on a phone
  1. One sentence on what you make

The first screen says it plainly: steel structures, CNC-turned parts, corrugated packaging, special-purpose machinery. “Quality and experience” does not answer the buyer’s question, so they go back to the search results and open the next supplier.

  2. Your range named the way buyers search

Laser cutting, sheet metal bending, TIG and MIG welding, powder coating, sub-assembly. Each process or product group gets its own heading, and with a wider range its own page, because that is how a website matches specific Google searches.

  3. Capabilities in numbers

Machinery list, maximum dimensions and thicknesses, materials, achievable tolerances, typical batch sizes. Engineers compare suppliers on exactly this data. The agent only uses figures that are on your current website or that you provide, and never estimates anything.

  4. Case studies with a short description

A photo of the part or machine, the customer’s industry, the material and the scope of work. You don’t have to name customers under NDA: “welded frame for an agricultural machinery manufacturer” tells a buyer more than a gallery without captions.

  5. The industries you serve

Automotive, agricultural machinery, furniture, food processing, energy. A list of industries tells buyers you know their requirements, and helps search engines connect your plant with searches for manufacturing in a specific sector.

  6. An RFQ with no guesswork

A form with a short list next to it: material, quantity, lead time, quality requirements. Messages go to your panel and your e-mail. The form accepts text only, without files, so give an address next to it where buyers can send drawings as PDF, DWG or STEP.

  7. Certifications and standards, real ones only

ISO 9001, EN 1090, ISO 3834: buyers check the scope and validity, sometimes before the first call. The agent shows the certificates on your current website or the ones you enter in the chat, and adds nothing else.

  8. A named sales contact

A name or department, phone and e-mail written as text, the plant address with a map link. If customers collect goods on site, add information on truck access and dispatch hours.

  9. Photos from your own shop floor

Machines, workstations, warehouse, finished products. An industrial buyer spots a glossy stock factory photo instantly. The agent uses photos from your current website, and you add missing shots in the revision chat.

  10. Company details that Google and AI chats can read

Name, address and phone written as text, exactly as in your Google Business Profile, plus schema.org structured data about the company. That way search engines and AI assistants can correctly answer what your plant does and where it is.

Common problems

What usually goes wrong on old manufacturer websites

Many manufacturer websites were built when the company had one hall and a few machines. Today it makes more, for different customers, and the website still tells the old story.

  • Old site

The range only in a PDF catalogue

Many megabytes in a single file: it barely opens on a phone and Google sees little of it. You give the key information from the catalogue, product groups and specifications, in the chat, and the agent turns it into regular pages.

  • Old site

A machinery list from years ago

Machines that are long gone, and none of the ones bought last year. You type the current list in the chat and the agent rebuilds the table on the website.

  • Old site

    Buzzwords instead of processes

“Comprehensive industrial services” and “the highest quality” tell an engineer nothing. The agent is instructed to avoid empty phrases like these: it pulls processes, materials and products out of your content and uses them as headings.

  • Old site

No clear path to a quote

The only contact is an office@ address in the footer, with no hint of what to write. On the new website the quote request is one click away from every page, with a list of the details that speed up pricing next to the form.

What you get

What the agent builds for a manufacturer

The agent builds the structure from content already on your website. A typical set looks like this; missing parts, such as a machinery list or case study descriptions, you add in the chat.

  1. /

    Homepage

What you make and for whom, your main processes, selected case studies, a quote request button.

  2. /products.html

    Products and services

Product groups or manufacturing services, and with a wide range separate pages, e.g. CNC machining, welding, coating.

  3. /machinery.html

    Machinery

Machines and their specifications in a table that reads well on a phone: working range, materials, the tolerances you provide.

  4. /case-studies.html

    Case studies

Parts and projects with a photo, industry and scope of work, without confidential details.

  5. /about.html

    About and quality

The company’s history, plant and team, quality control and the certifications you actually hold.

  6. /contact.html

    Contact and RFQ

Sales team, plant address with directions and a quote request form whose messages go to your panel and your e-mail.

On every page

  • Tap-to-call phone number
  • Mobile-friendly
  • Titles and descriptions for Google
  • schema.org structured data
  • Sitemap
  • 301 redirects

The $29 package covers up to 10 pages, the larger ones up to 25 or 50, enough for separate pages per process and product group. Old addresses are redirected (301) to the new ones.

FAQ

Questions from manufacturers

Can a buyer attach a technical drawing to an RFQ?

Not through the form: it takes contact details and a description of the request, without attachments. That is why you give your sales team’s e-mail address next to the form, where buyers can send drawings as PDF, DWG or STEP. Every form message goes to your panel and your e-mail.

Can the website be in several languages?

The agent builds the website in one language, the language of your current website: if it is in German today, the new one will be in German too. If you need several language versions for export markets, write to us before ordering. Projects beyond the packages are quoted individually.

Will the agent describe our machines and tolerances?

It will describe them and put them in tables, but only from your data: from your current website or from the chat. The agent does not add machines, specifications, certifications or figures you have not provided. You can update the list in the revision chat when you buy a new machine.

We are under NDA with our customers. What about case studies?

Only what is on your website today or what you add in the chat goes on the website. A case study can be described without the customer’s name: industry, part, material, scope of work. A photo you don’t want to show is removed with one instruction.

Will we lose our Google rankings for process keywords?

Page titles and descriptions are carried over, and every old address is redirected (301) to the closest new page, so links from industry directories keep working. The new website has a sitemap, structured data and a mobile version. You decide when it replaces the old one.

Can we sell spare parts or catalogue products through the website?

A company website is for enquiries. If you sell products from a price list, e.g. spare parts, there is a separate shop package for $129 or $259 net: catalogue, cart, payments and couriers, set up for selling in Poland (Polish payment gateways, prices in PLN). Wholesale with ERP integration or customer-specific price lists goes beyond the packages and is quoted separately. If your website was already built with Webomat, you can add a shop to it for $129 net. You pay for the package once, with no subscription; after the first year, hosting a website with a shop costs $99 net a year.

How the Webomat shop works →

How long does the rebuild take?

The first homepage version is usually ready within 15–25 minutes, and the full website another 15–20 minutes after you order. You watch the progress live in your panel, and the old website keeps running until you switch the domain yourself.

How much does a manufacturer website cost?

A one-off $29, $99 or $129 net, depending on the number of homepage versions, revision rounds and pages. A year of hosting with SSL is included, after that it costs $29 a year. You see the first homepage version (one per account) for free before you pay anything.
